Children's Services
Explanation of our links with the Borough
Sutton Mencap’s Children’s Services are financed partly by parental contributions and partly by a Service Level Agreement with the London Borough of Sutton. This means that we are able to offer services to the children in the most need of them, and in cooperation with statutory services. However, we are independent from the Borough and we offer the services we think are appropriate, rather than trying to bridge gaps in the statutory services.
Referral process
You won’t be surprised to hear that we have a waiting list for Children’s Services. Most of our children come by referral from the Borough, or by direct contact from their parents/carers.
