Make friends
Sutton Mencap runs a number of social groups, for adults of all ages with a learning disability to make friends and have fun
Most clubs take place at Number 8. There are age limits to some clubs, to keep numbers under control. Support workers welcome but must pay own subs.
Most clubs include an evening meal.
Number 8 Groupies
A sociable and friendly group of independent young people, who like to party, go to the cinema, eat pizza and play games! Groupies is primarily for people aged 18 - 30.
High Fliers
A friendly and lively social group of adults who enjoy competitions, watching films, going out and discos. High Fliers is primarily aimed at people aged 30 - 45.
Link In
If you enjoy bingo, crafts, cooking and playing games, Link In is for you. All welcome, from 21 to 101.
Pub Night
A friendly and social evening in a local pub - the landlord is an old friend! Pub Night is mostly intended for independent adults.
New Century Sunday
A group run by service users, for service users, NCS is a friendly and social group of independent adults who like to watch films, play games and socialise.
