Services for Adults
Sutton Mencap offers a programme of group-based leisure activities for adults with a learning disability including dance, drama, art, cookery, healthy living and social activities. Groups are aimed at helping people to meet friend, develop skills and have fun. Personal care is not provided, but people are welcome to bring their support workers to help them enjoy the sessions.
We also have a programme of services called ‘breakaways' which are aimed specifically at adults who live with parents or other family members. Breakaways provides a programme of activities for adults whilst ensuring parents and carers have a much needed break from their caring responsibilities. Personal care is available.
Community day activities service
This group-based service runs four days per week, providing a range of different activities including visits to local leisure centres, the park, cinema, bowling, taking part in art and dance classes, or a range of in-house activities. Personal care is available.
