SEND Forum Development Officer
£20,400 pa (FTE £34,000) plus 6% pension contribution after 3 months in post
21 hours per week. Fixed term contract to 30th June 2027
Sutton Mencap has a passion for supporting people with a learning disability to lead fulfilling lives and achieve their aspirations and potential, whilst also supporting families in their role as carers. We are seeking to recruit a Development Officer for an exciting new project to set up a new parent carer forum for families looking after children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities. This one-year project will involve supporting parents to establish the forum as a new independent organisation, whilst also ensuring the forum carries out engagement activities during this first year of operation.
As Development Officer you will bring your passion for ensuring that the collective voice of parents helps shape the delivery of local services, your commitment to coproduction through working with parents at every stage of the development project and your expertise in administration and organisation.
